Getting cleaned up for summer vacay? Want to help clear up some of the pesky acne? These tips should help a bit.
I have medium skin but my brother has really oily skin and we do about the same thing with our skin. This should work for just about everyone, but you may have to tweak it a bit.
1. Apply a small amount of minty toothpaste (i know) on your larger, more pesky pimples or zits five minutes before showering or washing your face.
[this will help it mature quicker and get it out of the way sooner]
2. Wash your face with an exfoliating cleanser (something w/ benzoyl peroxide if you can find it.) make sure you get up by your hairline
[this will clean your face and get rid of some of your dead skin]
3. Apply a toner or 70% rubbing alcohol to your entire face
[this will make your pores smaller, clean deeper and clean up some of that oil that clogs your pores]
4. While your face is still wet, apply a non-greasy face lotion (body lotion will only make your skin greasy) [this will add the right kind of moisture to your skin instead of the oil your skin makes to keep it from drying out.]
5. Keep your hair clean and out of your face as much as possible.
[The grease from your hair can make you break out just as much as your face oil can. Keeping your hair out of your face will help.]
If you wear your hair in your face as part of your style, just brush it back after your shower and when you are at home.
Hope this helps
Note:
Your face will feel really dry until you get the lotion on your face.
Apply more lotion on spots that feel the dryest. When your face is dry, it will try to fix this by creating more oil.
