You should get Super Monkey Ball. it's a lot of fun. Tris is also good but I think the Tetris company got it removed from the appstore. (it's basically Tetris for the iPod Touch under a different name and without a 10.00 price tag/

If you're not into games you may want the Movies app. It has all of the local movie times along with the previews and RT ratings.

Homeworkr is a good homework planning app. It keeps me very organised with my HW.
