Default Photoshop

Does anyone want me to come up with about a 5 part series of tutorials going over the basics of using photoshop?

If you wish to do so post them over in this section: http://forums.tutorialninjas.net/tutorials-news/

Would these be video tutorials? or should we make a tutorial explaining how to do a tutorial on "screen casting" and you can make a nice video tutorial of the basics of photoshop

I haven't decided if these will be videos or not
I think I can record myself correctly, but others might still need that.

I was thinking that I would create one part titled "Basics of Photoshop: Tools" and then go over the different tools and what each thing did. Then another part of the series titled "Basics of Photoshop: Effects" then go over the different filtering, smudging, and shading techniques. And then "Basics of Photoshop: Lighting" which will go over, well, lighting. Also "BoP: Adjustment" which will go over all of the adjustment layers like gradient maps, photo filter, color filter, contrast, etc, etc.

My motivation behind this project is that when I first started using photoshop, i couldnt find any straightforward tutorials that would explain these precise things. I always had to learn by looking at a tut that explained how to make an electricity ball of fire where i had to try to pick up techniques as the tut went on.

I would appreciate if anyone has anymore ideas for parts of the series, or possibly a new title.

Sounds great, if you manage to get it into some youtube videos. It will probably end up being on our frontpage and you will be given the credit and possibly a few bucks.

If i think of anything photoshop related I'll let ya know

Do it wally.
I Have Photoshop. I get stuck from time to time.
As the only thing I am able to do is normally go from black to white.
As well as change the coloring from B&W, to History color.

Speaking of photoshop...I just felt like posting this video I made of pictures I edited in photoshop. All of the faces are random pictures of people I know.
