Default help please

okay i read that in order to search previous history you do a system restore right? by the way my computer is automatically set to erase all history when i shutdown. so when i did a system restore it restored it back to the date but when i checked history nothing came up. nothing both in history and even cookies. why did it not show?

If it's your browser history then it won't be brought back by a system restore.

A system restore only restores the settings and main system files for windows. It wont restore any files to your computer. (Although if you moved them from one folder to another, the restore will move them back.

Your best bet would be to contact your ISP, they have a log of every site you visit
