Default Laptop Power Adapter

Is it normal for a power adapter to reach 120 Degrees during a charge cycle? I've noticed that mine gets to about that while it's charging my laptop It also causes my standalone speakers to make a high pitched whining noise. Is this dangerous?

i know that you could loose your power adapter if it overheats too much.
i'm not 100% sure about the speaker problem. do you have the power adapter sittin up on the table with your laptop next to it, or is it like on the floor and your laptop on a table or something of that sort?

there could be a small magnetic field being generated by the power adapter, try keeping it on the floor, or atleast a good couple feet away from your laptop and then see how the speakers sound

im also pretty sure its not supposed to get that hot
i looked at the operating temps of other power adapters
and its high temp was 40 C (104 F)
you should look up the specs for it, most likely the operating temp will be listed there
