best poem ever

As I awoke this morning
When all sweet things are born,
A robin perched upon my sill
To signal the coming dawn.

The bird was fragile, young and gay,
And sweetly did it sing,
The thoughts of happiness and joy
Into my heart did bring.

I smiled softly at the cheery song,
There as it paused, a moments lull,
I gently closed the window
and crushed its fucking skull.

my friends dad told us this poem a few times, i always thought it was funny as hell and i finally got it written down, (i think he read it in a bathroom, written on a stall)

i just remembered about this poem, havent heard it for a few years.... so i looked up the last lines and found the whole thing =P thought id post it
its not a serious poem, supposed to seem like it then you end up saying wtf?

or you could go deep into it and say the guy shows apparent signs of bipolarism and schizophrenia and the sadness of never being happy for you seem to destroy everything that is beautiful to you but i like jus having a good laugh every once in awhile instead thx for the poem fear
