I read just now about the crash and what not...so im back...and well yea...
So here is my story. I had owned my 360 for 3 years now. I got it on January, 29th. So jus the other weekend I went to play a game. Guess what I got? You got it. The Ring of Death. I was like WTF? I got so pissed because I have no more warranty on my system so it shall cost me 95$ + S&H so yea...I am screwed...
Anyone else ever hear this happening to another 360 user?
might not be the actual ring of death, record the sequence at which the red lights flash, and that will give you an error code, post the sequence here and we will see if you have the bad red ring of death, or something inert
its quite obvious it is it...the top left, bottom left, bottom right light up red....and then the top right does not light up at all...and when I hit the power button I checked my power supply box to make sure the light changed from orange/yellow to green and it does...
the red ring of death i got was bottom left, bottom right, and top left. by the way, how long were u playing the game? u could also check out this tutorial Broken Xbox 360? No problem. | Tutorial Ninjas

Ryan you got the ring of death exactly like I did and well I was not playing any games...I hadnt been on the system for like 2-3 days and I just had the urge to play sum TOB but when I cut it on I got the ROD...
Where is your Xbox? I've read from Microsoft and other people that if it's in a contained area where it can build up heat, it can ROD. The motherboard warps and pulls off the CPU, if I remember right from the last time I was checking around.
Sometimes it just gives you the rings because something is unplugged or a glitch make it think so.....other times you get it and it may be fine for a while but eventually it will screw up, if you get the ring i suggest turning off your 360 for a while
